The Queen of Comedy Combat

Mary Carpenter: The Queen of Comedy Combat!

Tower Hill students will perform Comedy Combat on Friday, October 25th at 7:30PM and Saturday, October 26th at 7:30PM! The improv show, directed by our very own Darla Max, features many of our talented students battling it out under HILARIOUS circumstances.  Tower Hill students will work with Mary Carpenter, a talented woman who has been involved in Comedy Combat every since she joined the local Philadelphia ComedySportz crew in 1992!  I was fortunate enough to sit down with Mary and learn more about her.  Check out the interview with her and gear up for the shows!

New York Fashion Week Trend Report

As Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week comes to a close, it’s easy to see where designers got their inspiration: the 90s. The Spring/Summer ’14 collections included Alexander Wang’s loose, boxy tops and Jason Wu’s oversized biker jackets and slip dresses.  Some of the most common trends were inspired by last year’s S/S and F/W shows; these included cropped, plaid, and monochromatic looks.  According to Editd.com, black and white were some of S/S ’13’s most popular shades and 1,432 new cropped tops were made available for online purchase in August.
